These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Eelavan Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number to be inserted), with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE ("Company", "we", "us" or "our"), governing your use of the mobile application "Pass Life in the UK Test" (the "App") and our website at ukcitizenshiptest.app (together, the "Services").

By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.


1. About the App

The App is a study aid for people preparing for the UK Life in the UK Test, including applicants for British citizenship and Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). The App provides practice questions, mock tests, audio chapters of the official handbook and related study features.

The App is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the UK Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration, or any government body. Passing practice tests within the App does not guarantee a pass in the official Life in the UK Test.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the App you confirm that you are at least 18.


3. Your Account

Some features of the App require you to set up a profile (for example, your first name, planned test date and first language). You are responsible for keeping any information you provide accurate and up to date. You are also responsible for activity that takes place under your account.

If you provide your email address (for example, to enter a giveaway, redeem a promo code or sign up for study reminders), you confirm that the email address belongs to you and that you are happy to receive transactional emails from us related to that activity.


4. Free and Paid Content

The App is freemium. Some content is available free of charge. Other content (including full mock exams, the complete question bank and the full audio handbook) is available only to users with an active subscription or lifetime purchase.

We may change which features are free and which are paid from time to time. Where you have an active paid subscription or a lifetime purchase, we will not remove access to features you have already paid for during the term of that subscription or purchase, except as set out in these Terms.


5. Subscriptions and Lifetime Purchase

5.1 Available plans

We currently offer the following paid plans (prices shown in GBP and may differ in your local currency):

Where an introductory offer applies, the offer price and the price that applies after the offer ends will both be shown to you at the point of purchase before you confirm.

Prices may vary by country and may change over time. The price shown to you at the point of purchase is the price you will pay for that purchase or subscription period.

5.2 How billing works

All purchases are processed by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play), depending on the platform you are using. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.

5.3 Auto-renewal (subscriptions only)

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the subscription you have selected.

5.4 Managing and cancelling your subscription

You can manage your subscription, turn off auto-renewal or cancel at any time:

Cancelling a subscription stops the next renewal. You will keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5.5 Free trials

We do not currently offer a free trial. If we introduce a free trial in the future, the terms of that trial will be shown to you before you sign up. Where a free trial is offered and you purchase a subscription before the trial ends, any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited.

5.6 Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple or Google. Refund requests are handled by them, not by us. Please contact Apple or Google directly:

We do not have the ability to issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact the relevant store directly.

5.7 Lifetime access

A "Lifetime" purchase gives you access to all paid content in the App for as long as the App is available on the relevant store and we continue to operate the Services. We aim to keep the App running indefinitely but we cannot guarantee that the Services will be available forever. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the App, not the lifetime of the user.

5.8 Promo codes and giveaways

From time to time we may run giveaways or issue promo codes that grant access to paid features. The terms of each campaign will be shown at the point of entry. Promo codes are non-transferable, have no cash value and may have an expiry date. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or revoke promo codes in cases of fraud or abuse.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its content (including questions, explanations, audio recordings, design and code) and all related intellectual property are owned by Eelavan Ltd or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial study.

The Life in the UK handbook itself is published by the UK Home Office and is subject to its own copyright. Where we reproduce or adapt content for study purposes, we do so in line with applicable copyright rules.


8. Accuracy of Content

We work hard to keep the App's content accurate and up to date. However, we make no warranty that all content is free of errors or fully reflects the most recent edition of the official handbook at all times. The App is provided as a study aid only. You are responsible for verifying any factual claims against the official handbook before your test.


9. Push Notifications and Emails

If you opt in, we may send you push notifications (for example, study reminders) and transactional emails (for example, giveaway confirmations, reminders before your test date or review requests). You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send.


10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information. You can read it at ukcitizenshiptest.app/privacy. By using the Services you agree to our Privacy Policy.


11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any content is accurate or complete.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or £100 if you have not paid us anything.

If you have downloaded the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and will take effect as soon as it is published. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention (for example, through an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.


16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the UK or in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
